RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil Stephen Mozia '08's throw of 18.98 meters wasn't far enough to move him out of the qualifying round of the men's shot put competition at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Mozia, who competes for Nigera, faulted on his first two attempts and finished in 28th place overall, 1.42 meters away from the 12th and final qualifying spot. Ryan Crouser of the U.S. had the longest throw of the preliminary rounds, reaching 21.59.
